Just next door, the artist Simon Pearce blows his nationally renown glass creations and behind the Inn, the Ottauquechee river gurgles by. Whether enjoying the seasonal recreational activities around town or driving the winding back roads in search of antique treasures, Quechee offers something year round for everyone. Located in the heart of the Green Mountains, Quechee is an environmental haven with sparkling lakes and streams for canoeing, swimming and fishing, and lush forest valleys for hiking, biking, cross-country and alpine skiing, and horseback riding. Just two miles away, the Quechee Gorge is a geological wonder with the Ottauquechee River flowing 165 feet below the look out point on the Route 4 bridge. The view is breathtaking in every season and a spectacular opportunity for hikers and photographers. Guests of Parker House Inn can enjoy full club privileges at the Quechee Club whose two 18 hole golf courses rate among the top five in the state.
